Britain Mania

Over the years there has been always some sort of attraction to everything British. Everyone has a Union Jack here or there...the recent "KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON" are being posted and used everywhere (primarily used in the war to keep people's spirits up).
But one thing that people always get wrong about Britain and England in particular is the weather. Undoubtedly England is a country without a climate as such...the weather is unpredictable and is always changing. However, it is wrong to say that England is "constantly rainy." It is true that it rains often in England yet the weather is not as bad as people believe it to be. In the summer and late spring England can have fantastic weather. It gets really warm and sunny and droughts are not rare. Especially it is lovely in the south, in places by the sea, the Channel, such as Dover, Hastings, Brighton. Temperatures rise to 30 degrees and above in summer. It is lovely to be by the beach in this weather.
This summer the weather hasn't been particularly "hot" but it is very warm and sunny. And here are some lovely views of the sea at this time of year.

I'm HIPSTEEEERRR

Two years ago there was this huge obsession with hippie bands. Everyone wore them and I myself had one.
This year everything's hip, but only a few things are actually anything related to hippies. For example the Lennon Glasses which I looove and I really need to get a pair (my friend http://unjardinnoir.blogspot.com/ has them and they look sooooo hawwwt on her <3 ) and then of course the hippie bands. But they are not so in fashion now. However, I believe that maxi-skirts also qualify as true hip if you want to be hip. They are long and a lot of them colourful and hippies used to wear similar (less pretty but similar) skirts.
I have the skirts but I make no connection with wearing them and being hipster. I do wear the hippie band sometimes and actually now that I am dark brunette it looks kinda cool :D :D :D

Book of the day!

I LOVE reading books. I'm weird like that. I absolutely adore classics (yes stuff like Shakespeare and Pushkin, Tolstoy, Sir Walter Scott etc.) as well as fantasy. Absolutely adore it.
At the moment though I am reading a fantastic book by George Orwell called "1984". It's actually a really famous book. You know this is where Big Brother comes from. Yes it used to be in a book before it became a TV reality show.
Basically the story is about a society where people are like robots. They are not allowed to think outside certain ideas. They are constantly watched by TV screens (Yes just like Big Brother) and listened to by mics. As well as that there's the thing called the Thought Police which actually listens to your thoguhts and if they detect a single thought that's slightly more individual than the rest they can take people under arrest.
Really it's a fascinating book. You can really see the connection to the USSR. SO many things are similar to Communist Russia. Even the things shown on TV screens to the people remind me of what my Russian grandmother told me, from her times in the USSR. The propaganda movies of the poor, starving population of the USA and Europe. But there are many more things that are an exaggerated version of the situation in Communist Russia.
All in all it's a really great book. I'm really enjoying it and advise anyone who's interested in reading, or interested in history or societies to read this book. You'll probably really enjoy it.

Fashion

This year's big obsession was mainly with three designers: Cristian Louboutin, Alexander McQueen, and Herve Leger.
Many others too of course. A lot to do with Vivienne Westwood, Jeffrey Campbell, Hermes, Fendi.
But the top three were the top three this year.

Everyone seems to have been hunting for a pair of Louboutin shoes, one of the beautiful Herve Leger dresses and at least a ring or a clutch as well as a scarf from Alexander McQueen.
I myself had been in love with these three. Perhaps that's why it seemed to me like there was such a fuss about them, because those were the names I noticed. Anyway I had been dreaming of Louboutin shoes since probably summer-autumn 2011 and finally my parents got me a pair for my 16th. The most magnificent pair of shoes I have EVER seen. My idea is that if you are getting a pair of expensive, top designer shoes, you get something really worth the money. You get something flashy, visible, something to wear out. My parents were obviously of the same ideas, because they got me the most flashy, yet elegant pair the shop possessed. They also got me the most beautiful matching clutch. Absolutely gorgeous. I've only worn the shoes twice, but I see myself wearing them more in the summer.
As well as that my eye had fallen on Herve Leger. His dresses have always appealed to me, even before I actually knew who he was. My sister bought a lovely dress last year. We had a special shopping trip where I bought a lovely DKNY creamy-white dress and she bought an Herve Leger. At the time he wasn't so big, well not to us anyway. This year I decided to wear it for my mum's birthday and as I put it on I realized who the designer was. That was when I had the crazy desire to have an Herve Leger of my own. Something extremely beautiful. Something that was showy, yet elegant. Something that would go with my inner latino-like passion, yet not look trashy.
So for some occasion (I cannot remember which) we went shopping with my dad again and I found the perfect dress. A beautiful coral-red. It was absolutely exactly what I needed. It sat perfectly, it was bright and my favourite colour to match my inner self, and it worked well with my dark hair and set off my green eyes. And it really did look elegant. My dad loved it so much he bought it for me.
Now with Alexander McQueen I can never seem to get close enough. I always find something lovely, but never seem to get it. It's ok, I have my eye set on one of his ring-clutches <3

Messi forever xxx

Ok I am one of those crazy football fans. Honestly, to me football means the world. As of the past 2 years I have been a faithful and loyal fan of none other than FCB <3 <3 <3
And of course I admire FCB's famous and excellent player Lionel Messi (№10). An excellent player in an excellent team. Generally Barcelona has many excellent players, such as Carlos Puyol and Andres Iniesta, Gerard Pique. But Messi has definitely proven to be the best.
In the season of 2012 Messi is 7 goals behind to beating the world record for most goals during a season. The world record was 67 goals scored by Gerd Muller's for Bayern Munich in the years of 1972-73.
Messi is currently known to have scored 60 goals within the season. WELL DONE! <3
As well as being an excellent football player, Messi surely presents himself as a great guy. Icould debate his good looks, but his attitude is admirable. Unlike the confident and arrogant Cristiano Ronaldo (even though I still love him), Messi stays in the back. He's completely down to earth and incredibly professional. Great guy <3

MICHEL TELO

The funniest thing ever.
There's this absolutely excellent song by a Brazilian singer Michel Telo called "Ai Se Eu Te Pego" It's got excellent music and simple but pleasing lyrics. The kind of song that makes you want to get up and dance.
Heard it for the first time around 2 months ago. It was played at a competition by that certain Colombian as well as La Camisa Negra. Funny thing was that the same night in the club I heard it play. And ever since I had been hearing it everywhere. I love it. But this song seems to have an appeal to many people.
My little brother's 1year and 6 months and he's heard me play this song many, many times. Never could have imagined that it would have become his favourite as well.
The moment he hears the song he starts to dance.

ESPANA BABY

I absolutely adore everything Spanish and Hispanic. I find latino girls to be the most beautiful and Latino guys the most handsome. Literally I always fall for latino guys. But as well as their people I love their culture and music.
My absolute favourite singer is Juanes. He's Colombian (I always go for Colombians :3 ). He has the most amazing voice and plays the guitar beautifully.  His most famous song and one of my absolute faves is La Camisa Negra. It's really beautiful. And for me it means a lot. Haha. This song was played to me by another Colombian <3 who also happened to play the guitar and have the most amazing voice as well as being incredibly handsome.
But his other excellent songs include but are not limited to Sueños, Que Pasa, Lo que me gusta a mi and Tu Guardian, Damelo.
